David Dowbyhuz currently resides in the beautiful island-city of Montreal, Quebec. It’s Old World influences, along with it’s European heritage, does David’s artistic soul good.

In the course of a span of 47 years, David has spent 26 of them, and continues to be, happily married. As a consequence of this magical match, three delightful children have been raised into thriving and productive adults. Sharing a house with his lovely wife, Melody, a college-age daughter, Amanda, (his two sons, Michael & Andrew, out and on their own), and two floppy Basset Hounds, Melvin & Gus, life couldn’t be finer.

Art, and the creation of art, have been such a part of David’s life that a starting point is not to be found. Largely a self-taught artist, he continues to struggle and challenge himself, never settling for anything less than his very best, and then a little bit better.
His meticulous attention to composition, light, technique and the diligent respect he applies to his customer’s dreams, has resulted in a creative career that continues to grow with each new work.
